We're honoring the Miracle of the Sun this week, as we get ready to celebrate the anniversary on October 13th.

On October 13, 1917, over 70,000 people gathered in the pouring rain in Fátima, Portugal, witnessing the sun appear to spin, flash vivid colors, and plummet toward the Earth before returning to its place. The event was widely covered by the press, with even secular and anti-clerical newspapers like Lisbon’s 

 sending reporters who unexpectedly corroborated the miracle alongside thousands of skeptical eyewitnesses.

These hypoallergenic and nickel free earrings are handmade and feature white and gold resin, representing the vision of Our Lady of Fatima that occured in 1917. The resin is surrounded by a gold plated alloy bezel ring (measuring ~34.5mm from top to bottom). Due to the handmade nature of these earrings, small variations may occur.

On October 13, 1917, tens of thousands gathered in Fatima to witness a promised sign—and the heavens did not disappoint. As the rain stopped and the clouds parted, the sun appeared to dance, spin, and cast brilliant colors across the sky. This miracle a call to conversion, to prayer, and to trust in the messages Our Lady shared with the three shepherd children.&nbsp; These earrings measure approximately 1.5" from hook to base. All of our earrings feature hypoallergenic hooks.

Beginning May 13, 1917, the apparition of Our Lady appeared to three children in Fatima, Portugal. Lucia was 9 years old, and her cousins, Francisco and Jacinta, were 8 and 6 years old. When she appeared, Mary wore a white veil trimmed in gold. She told the children that she came from Heaven, and she asked them to say the Rosary every day and devote themselves to the Holy Trinity. Specifically, she asked the children to pray the rosary for an end to World War I and the conversion of Russia.
"Rosarium Orare" translates to "Pray the Rosary". The shirt features the word Fátima in a classic college style font, with a sun symbol, which calls to mind the Miracle of the Sun.

This is a reproduction print of an original watercolor of Our Lady of Fatima,&nbsp;from the Marian Minis collection. The collection was created as part of an art challenge to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary in the month of May. Marian Minis are only available in 5"x7" prints.
